Welcome Back!

We hope you had a wonderful holiday break. Back on campus, you'll find some things new (LCS has moved!) and some things the same (we have a lot of great programs planned for you).

Law Career Services is now located to 40 Jessie Street on the 5th floor. We look forward to being more accessible to students in our new location.

The deadline to apply to PI/PS Day employers is Friday, January 15 at noon! While not required, LCS recommends students interested in applying to PI/PS Day review their application materials with a counselor to ensure materials are of the highest quality possible. To facilitate this process, LCS will hold Resume / Cover Letter Drop-In Hours in our new office during the following times:

Tue., Jan. 12 - 11:30 am to 1 pm, 5 to 6 pm
Wed., Jan. 13 - 11:30 am to 1 pm, 3 to 4 pm
Thur., Jan. 14 - 11:30 am to 1 pm, 3 to 4 pm

Learn how the Public Interest Clearinghouse's Rural Education and Access to the Law (REAL) Project directly address the urgent need for legal services in rural California, and how to get involved, at the Rural Access to Justice Presentation on Tuesday, January 19 from noon to 1 pm in room 3203.

Students interested in working for a judge during the spring semester should begin applying for judicial externship opportunities now. Learn about these prestigious opportunities, the hiring process, the requirements for the program and the resources available to assist you at How to Find a Judicial Externship on Wednesday, January 20 from noon to 1 pm in 3214.
