Associate Dean for Law Career Services
As you complete your final semester, we encourage you to circle back to your professors, former supervisors, and other colleagues to let them know you are wrapping up your law school experience. Try visiting folks in their office, or set up dates for lunch or coffee.
Use this time to chat with them about your experience in law school and your goals for the future. Solicit their advice on activities that will enhance your job search and professional development efforts. For example, can they recommend attorneys for you to meet with for informational interviews? Are there bar associations they recommend you join (and take advantage of low student membership rates)? Other job search leads?
Thank them for all of the interest they have shown in your career development and let them know you will reconnect after you have taken the bar exam.
