Last week, two members of the San Francisco Trial Lawyers Association spoke to a group of students about plaintiff’s side litigation. The speakers—Shaana Rahman of Rahman Law PC, and Rebecca Grey of Pillsbury and Levinson, LLP—discussed how representing plaintiffs in employment discrimination, consumer fraud, civil rights, corporate negligence, toxic tort, and personal injury lawsuits gives attorneys like them the opportunity to fight for those who can’t fight for themselves.
Ms. Rahman and Ms. Grey also discussed the SFTLA’s Summer 2012 Trial Advocacy Fellowship Program, a summer litigation program where selected students will be paid a stipend and work for different mentor law firms in rotations lasting 3-4 weeks each. The Fellowship is for current 2Ls and the application deadline is October 31, 2011. For more information regarding the Fellowship, please click here.
