While most of us know to wear professional business attire to in-person job interviews, what should you wear if you are doing a telephone interview? What if you are making outreach phone calls for networking purposes? Does it matter what you wear if the person you are speaking with can’t see you?
Apparently, it does. According to a recent article, it can be difficult to sound like a leader "when you aren’t dressed like one.” Whether dealing with people face-to-face or over the phone, dressing down interferes with the image you are trying to present and can undermine your confidence level.
So what should you wear? Recently, Dean Ramey and Professors Neitz and Quan offered their tips on how to dress for success in a variety of professional settings. Check out their advice below.
