Catching a Glimpse: Don't miss out on upcoming tours!

By Victoria Capinpin
LCS Graduate Fellow

Each Spring semester, LCS arranges for small groups of first-year students to visit different legal employers and meet with attorneys who work there. This is a great opportunity to meet GGU alumni and other attorneys in a small group setting, as well as to make your application stand out if you plan to apply to one of these office in the future. There are only couple of upcoming tours left so don't miss out!

All tours take place on Friday afternoons from approximately 2:40 to 5:00 pm and require advance registration. Space is limited and students may only select one tour; RSVP required in the "Events" tab on LCSonline.

NEXT WEEK'S TOURS: Friday, February 21, 2014
  • United States Postal Service - legal offices in San Francisco (offering unique employment and labor, tort, procurement and property, ethics, and corporate law opportunities--plus they love hiring GGU grads!)
  • Kazan, McClain, Satterley & Greenwood in Jack London Square in Oakland (a plaintiffs litigation firm with over 20 lawyers--they frequently hire GGU students as law clerks, and several have gone on to become attorneys there!)
Last week, students went on three tours:
  • DLA Piper (international commercial law firm)
  • United States Court of Appeals, 9th Circuit
  • San Francisco Public Defender's Office (students got to spend time with Public Defender Jeff Adachi!)
GGU 1Ls who went on last week's Catching a Glimpse tour of the 9th Circuit.
