5 Quick Interview Tips

1. Relax: Think positive thoughts and visualize yourself in the interview. Take slow deep breaths before you go into the interview.

2. Set goals for the interview: It is up to you to leave the interview feeling secure that the interviewer knows as much as he or she possibly can about your skills, abilities, experience and achievements. Prepare, prepare, prepare!

3. Sell yourself: Do not rely on your application documents to sell yourself. You must back up this information by giving examples that enhance your written application.

4. Ask questions: By asking the employer questions, you show that you have done your research and that you are interested in the organization. Not having prepared questions demonstrates a lack of preparation and a lack of interest in the position.

5. Follow up: After the interview send a thank you letter.
